Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Party Van

Did it get much cooler the the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Party Van?  With the spoiler, room for all of your Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle action figures and the cool stickers, it was always one of my favorite toys.  I love the big wheels in back and the smaller wheels up front.  Classic 80's van styling with a cartoon flare.

Nowadays people sporting custom vans are not in the "cool" catagory but the Teenage Mutant Ninja Party Van will always be cool as far as I'm concerned.  It's certainly a must if you want to be able to stash your TMNT Action Figures in a decent place other than tossing them under your bed.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Reading Lamp

So I keep up with the eBay auctions. I'm a big vintage toy dork so let's just get over that part right now.

I came across an auction today for a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles lamp that had an initial starting bid set at fifty bucks.  That's right dollars, not cents.  I am of the opinion that that is an insane pricetag for a lamp that probably cost $3.00 when it was first released.  I mean come on, I was a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles geek when they first came out, but a lamp was not high on my list of things I was aching to get my hands on.  The Party Van, yes.  Beebop and/or Rocksteady, absolutely.  But a lamp?  Does it relocate my vintage TMNT toys to dimension-X?  No.  Does it stop Shredder in his tracks?  Doubtful. 

It lights up a room.  And none to brightely judging by the picture. 

Don't get me wrong, if the price was right I would be all over it.  Buck fifty plus a seven dollar shipping and handling charge and I might be lighting up the garage with a vintage TMNT lamp.  But fifty smackers?  No thanks.
